The Finals
The final competition of the Iron Videographer unfolded at VIDEO 08 in Orlando with the final edit to be a Wedding Demo. Terry and Glen were poised to battle, when the Secret Ingredient of digital backgrounds and graphics was introduced. To further add to the intensity of this final competition, judging was held the next day. The panel of judges consisted of three members of ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants) and Steven Nathens-Kelly, editor of EventDV magazine. Their decision was split, but the title of Iron Videographer went to Terry Taravella of Studio Vieus Carre!

How The Iron Videographer Contestants are selected:
- Each Iron Videographer contestant must be an Affiliate of The 4EVER Group Videographers Network by the time the competition starts.
- Contestants will be selected for each region by popular vote through The 4EVER Group web site.
- The top two, as determined by the number of individual votes, will be the regional contestants.
- Each contestant, in the opening round, must use (primarily) different editing platforms. If the top two, as selected by the voters, primarily use the same editing platform, then the videographer with the next highest vote total who edits on a different platform will be selected.
- A contestant will first compete in his/her home region. For example, a videographer from California is only eligible to compete in the West regional event.

Rules For The Iron Videographer Competition
- Each contestant will use his/her own editing platform and related tools.
- Each contestant will be provided the exact same wedding footage, on miniDV tape, the day prior to the competition, to allow time for capture and review.
- The footage will be different in each competition.
- At the beginning of each regional competition, the contestants will be supplied the Secret Ingredient(s).
- Each contestant will create a Wedding Highlights video from the supplied footage, including each Secret Ingredient, that will not exceed 10 minutes in length.
- The total time for the competition is four (4) hours.

Choosing The Iron Videographer
- For each regional event, a select panel of three (3) judges, chosen by The 4EVER Group, will determine the winner.
- The criteria will be that which is used to judge the Artistic Achievement Awards competition.
- There will be four preliminary-round Iron Videographers, each representing one region of North America: North, South, East, and West.
- The semi-final round of the Iron Videographer competition will feature East vs. West, and North vs. South.
- The selection of The 4EVER Group’s Iron Videographer will be at VIDEO 08, where the winners of the semi-final round will compete.
